Research in the Operational Modal Analysis of Rotating Machinery Reducer

چکیده
In operational modal analysis process of the rotating machinery, it is always difficult to adopt usual modal analysis methods in parameter correction because of the modal parameter identification problems caused by harmonic modes. A technique to distinguish harmonic and structural modes is proposed here, that is, through frequency domain decomposition (FDD) of the vibration signals power spectral density matrix and probability density function, the two components (structural modes and harmonic modes) are successfully separated from the overall responses. The experiment indicates that structural modal parameters of the reducer can be obtained in real environment, which provides accurate references to the continuous mining machine reducer parameter correction. The method provides an efficient path for the modal analysis of rotating machinery. Copyright © 2013 IFSA.

In this research, the modal parameters of a beam in free-free condition are extracted by performing different experiments in laboratory. For this purpose, two different techniques are employed. The first methodology is considered as a time domain method in Operational Modal Analysis. While the other one is frequency domain impact hammer test which is categorized as an Experimental Modal Analysi...
متن کاملOperational Modal Analysis on Structures with Rotating Parts
Operational Modal Analysis was originally invented for vibration analysis on civil engineering structures exposed to ambient excitation being purely stochastic and broadband in nature. When performing Operational Modal Analysis on civil or mechanical engineering structures with dominating rotating parts, the original algorithms are often inadequate in providing accurate results due to determini...
متن کاملFlow Seals Parameters Analysis For Rotors
The interaction of work fluid mechanics with that of the rotary system itself, basically composed of axes, bearings and rotors, is performed by inserting equivalent dynamic coefficients in the mathematical model of the rotor, the latter being obtained by the finite element method. In this paper, the dynamic coefficients of inertia, stiffness and damping of the flat seals analyzed here are evalu...
متن کاملAn investigation the effects of geometric tolerances on the natural frequencies of rotating shafts
This paper examines the effects of geometric tolerances on the natural frequencies of rotating shafts. In order to model the tolerances, a code is written in MATLAB 2013 that produces deviated points. Deviated points are controlled by different geometric tolerances, including cylindricity, total run-out and coaxiality tolerances. Final surfaces and models passing through the points are created ...

The following study deals with the updating the finite element model of structures using the operational modal analysis. The updating process uses an evolutionary optimization algorithm, namely bees algorithm which applies instinctive behavior of honeybees for finding food sources. To determine the uncertain updated parameters such as geometry and material properties of the structure, local and...
